It is commonly known that the Church of Tempus used to be more militaristic and have a larger reach. Stories of the Crusade are only spoken about in hushed voices.
Their goal was to eradicate all evil, such as lycans or vampires.
This sometimes resulted in entire villages being executed.
The stories claimed the paladins were ridding corruption. But were they? Or were they just removing whoever they found to be politically inconvenient...? Once someone is slain, it is hard to prove if they truly were a vampire or not.
One famous event during the Crusade was the siege at Drakenhof Estate where Lord Drakenhof and his entire family were wiped out, supposedly all vampires.
