Key Stones
The Key Stones are magical stones given to the Protagonists by Richard Oddenheim. The heroes were given five stones.
They appear to function as keys that unlock the Magical Tapestry Portal in Lord Aiden's Mansion and allowing the user to enter Lord Aiden's Study.
The stones appear to be inert, and seem to have no other magical properties beyond acting as portal keys. It is possible for a single person to carry several Key Stones on them. Thus a person with two keys, can transport any number of companions through the tapestry one at a time.
The Key Stone carried by Butt Butterscotch was damaged, and exploded upon trying to enter the tapestry. The explosion destroyed the stone, damaged Butt's chainmail armor and resulted in considerable injuries.
The heroes left one of the keys with Samuel Summers and one with Arielle. The heroes still have two working stones, and one damaged stone shard.
