The Mayor of Fynwell is the head of the [[Fynwell]] government who appoints [[Fynwell Ministries|Ministers]], represents the city when negotiating with foreign rulers and makes important decisions as the head of state.

Mayors are elected by popular vote every ten years, with no consecutive term limit. The position is open to all citizens, both aristocrats and commoners, but it is usually head by a high born noble. Dis is mostly due to the fact that most commoners do not have funds or time to campaign and gather public interests. That said, there have been low born Mayors in the past, and likely in the future.

The Mayor usually resides in the [[South Tower]] of [[Fynwell Keep]] in the [[Keepside]] district.

The current mayor is [[Mara Agathon]], an influential aristocrat and member of the [[Fynwell Political Factions#Velvet Rose Society|Velvet Rose Society]].
