The Purge was an ancient war during which the mortals overthrew the Paragons and destroyed their physical vessels forcing them out of the Prime Material Plane.

It is mostly unknown how the mortals accomplished this, but legends say it involved immensely powerful relics wielded by The Council of Seven. These terrifying weapons have been lost during the thousand years of turmoil and unrest that followed the purge.

The last day of purge marks the Calendar year 0 to commemorate the end of the Age of the Paragons and the beginning of a new age.
