Deep Folk are variant humans who can trace their ancestry to subterranean dwellers that settled the inhospitable South West continent thousands of years ago. Modern day Deep Folk have pale gray skin, reddish eyes and ashen hair. Most of them live in the five great cities of the Emirate in the South West.
Player Characters wanting to play a Deep Folk character can use the following template:
Ability Score Increase: Your ability scores each in crease by 1.
Minor Darkvision: You have excellent vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 30 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Sunlight Sensitivity: You have disadvantage on attack rolls and on Wisdom (Perception ) checks that rely on sight when you, the target of your attack, or whatever you are trying to perceive is in direct sunlight.
Languages: You can speak, read, and write Jokal, Common and one extra language of your choice.
