Fake Hoff is a sort of a tactile illusion created via blood magic that allows Samuel Summers to make a swarm of bats appear as vampiric images vaguely resembling Count Drakenhoff.
The phantoms have physical presence and can fight in close combat with considerable effectiveness, although they appear to posses only a fraction of the strength exhibited by a fully fledged vampire. They are also capable of channeling simple spells such as Magic Missile.
Upon being defeated, the phantoms burst into a swarm of bats which can continue fighting and harassing the enemy.
