Martha Silverpenny is the leader of Barkers, a Fynwell crime syndicate that runs dog fighting rings and gambling dens in the Dog Fenn district.
She is known for her ruthlessness, attention to detail, and the high expectations she puts on her underlings. Her organization runs like clockwork, and she does not tolerate insubordination or shoddy work ethics.
Her five sons, Tim, Tom, Ted, Trey and Penderghast work as her enforcers, and ensure that everyone in the organization knows their place.
