Bethany Rogers is the captain of the Royal Seagull and an ally to the Protagonists. She is a fierce and fearless sea captain, and she inspires boundless loyalty in her crew. Her leadership style is harsh but fair, but she does treat her crew well. When docked, she is known for throwing parties for her crew.
Bethany is able to drink all of her crew mates under the table. Her signature drink is The Captain's Reserve. She is also an expert Dragon Dice player. She only lost to Harlan Underford because he cheated on his dice rolls.

She was hired by the Protagonists to take them from Fynwell to Fairhaven. During the encounter with Squidface she was temporarily under his mind control, until she was knocked out by the Protagonists. While mind controlled, she was sweating and her eyes glazed over. She she hacked away at the ballista while yelling, "You won't touch her again". This action greatly damaged the ballista.
